Furnished cages\u00a0(FCs) \u00a0are bigger and have perches and other amenities to improve hen performance and welfare. FC\u00a0groups are getting bigger, up to 60 hens, \u00a0as more producers\u00a0are forced to\u00a0make the switch\u00a0and\u00a0try to\u00a0remain competitive. Well managed large groups have preformed well.
