{"id":15003,"date":"2013-08-20T10:33:43","date_gmt":"2013-08-20T16:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prairieswine.com\/rsc\/?p=15003"},"modified":"2013-10-10T11:26:18","modified_gmt":"2013-10-10T17:26:18","slug":"science-day-2013-at-prairie-swine-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/prairieswine.com\/rsc\/science-day-2013-at-prairie-swine-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Science Day 2013 at Prairie Swine Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another successful Science Day at Prairie Swine Centre was recently held on Friday, August 16.<\/p>\n<p>Each year students, employed over the summer, at Prairie Swine Centre have an opportunity to present the results of research projects they have been working on this summer. \u00a0The afternoon focused on six presentations covering topics ranging from grouping sows after weaning, bovine colostrum for piglets, Zinc Oxide nanoparticle air filtering and levels of creep feed intake on commercial farms.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Prairie Swine Centre presentations two guests from the University of Saskatchewan were invited to participate in Science Day.
