When opportunities for improvement are identified, the entire team should be aware of the new goals, clear measurements should be tracked, long term growth should be considered, and knowledge can be shared with the benchmarking group. To succeed, benchmarking need significant commitment, accurate measurements of variables, and continuous data recording.
