{"id":12175,"date":"2012-05-07T15:54:50","date_gmt":"2012-05-07T21:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/prairieswine.com\/rsc\/?p=12175"},"modified":"2012-05-08T12:49:34","modified_gmt":"2012-05-08T18:49:34","slug":"swine-innovation-porc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prairieswine.com\/rsc\/swine-innovation-porc\/","title":{"rendered":"Swine Innovation Porc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Swine Innovation Porc is a multi-year $9.6 million program established within the Growing Canadian Agri-Innovation Program to address the research questions of the pork industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The objectives of Swine Innovation Porc are to facilitate research, technology transfer and commercialization initiatives designed to enhance the competitiveness and differentiation of Canada\u2019s pork industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Swine Innovation Research program consists of 14 research projects in which 10 focus directly on increasing revenue or decreasing the cost of production, 4 focus on product differentiation, and 3 technology transfer initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It is truly a collaborative project involving the coordination of 22 private partners, 100 researchers, 14 universities, and 13 research centres (16 organizations throughout Canada).
